We are erin, Jake, and Elena (egan's napping, but will be up soon enough!)
Jake and I met Martha in graduate school. Martha and I shared an office for years in Santa Cruz. Martha was one of the first people (along with Heather and Meegs) to visit our daughter Elena when she was born! We have fond memories of Mart's love of squirrels, chicken, blueberry pie, and whipped cream!
Elena's favorite memories of aunt Marfa are
'seeing her with lots of hugs and kisses.'
To be honest, Elena at first was not fond of Henri. She doesn't share her 'aunties' well and referred to him as 'that dessert guy.' Since then, she warmed up to him in Vienna and is now a big fan. She can't wait for her new 'auntie baby' to be born!
